Today marks the last day of Summer break for me and the children. It was a great day although never as productive as I intend and I sure don't feel ready for the first day of school tomorrow, but I never do. :)
The most exciting part of the day was finding my new Bible! I have wanted one for over a year now but couldn't find the one I wanted. I went to Mardel's to look at curriculum and decided to look at the Bibles before I left the store even though it wasn't on my list or in my budget. But once I saw it, I knew it was mine. They didn't have that Math book anyway so I just used the money from that and I'm sure Kalyn won't mind. Haha Seriously, she hasn't finished the book from last year yet so she will have some work to do for the next couple weeks until I can order the next book. The Bible is blue with silver pages, it is a NKJV and slim size for carrying with me - I love it! My other one has been falling apart for a few years now as it's 20 years old and I had gotten out of the habit of taking it to church when I had my 3 little girls and diaper bags. I rarely got a chance to open it because I kept my baby with me or spent most of the time in the Nursing Mother's Room. Then I got an ipod and later an iphone with a Bible app but it just isn't the same as having a Bible to read and write in as I love taking notes too.
God is so faithful to give us the desires of our heart and He never disappoints! ~K
